Rams WR expected to miss a few weeks after “positive” report on knee
The Los Angeles Rams received a bit of good news today regarding WR Van Jefferson. According to coach Sean McVay, Jefferson has a little knee tweak and is expected to undergo a minor procedure tomorrow.
The Rams were expecting Jefferson to be the #3 WR behind Cooper Kupp and Allen Robinson. Jefferson had an impressive 2021 serving as the Rams’ second receiver and a deep threat, hauling in 50 receptions for 802 yards and six touchdowns on a team-best 16 yards per reception.
With Odell Beckham Jr. still recovering from a torn ACL, and remaining unsigned, the Rams were expecting to enter the upcoming season with Jefferson as their No. 3 wideout.
With this news, barring any setbacks, it should be expected Jefferson will be ready for the home opener against the Bullalo Bills on September 8th.
